Advent
Here are some pictures of the kids rolling their own advent candles. I think we will do this activity again in the future. The kids really enjoyed it!
Each week during the advent season we light another candle until all four candles are lit the Sunday before Christmas. The kids were excited to light the last of the four candles last night. The white candle in the middle gets lit on Christmas day and we call it the Christ candle.

Mt Vernon
We had a wonderful time with dear friends in Washington DC this Thanksgiving. On the Wednesday before, we were able to enjoy Mt. Vernon. The kids loved being able to explore the property and especially enjoyed the animals on the estate. Thanks for a great and relaxing time!
